WHY SMALL GROUP CLASSES -its more fun when you train with others

 

We love to to share our movement passion with other like minded nutbags…err, enthusiasts

We are there for you, to teach, guide, instruct and give you a kick up the ass….errr, motivation when needed. There is nothing in our classes we won’t ask you to do thats not within your capacity…..we will challenge you, and it will change you, at your pace.

 


 

 

HOW WE ROLL – One session at a time

Before you jump into any of our group classes want you to do some 1:1 sessions with us. Everyone has a Functional Movement Screen, so we can see where your movement health is. Group classes are not the place to try and learn tricky exercises. Pilates exercises require a good grasp of breathe control and posture setting before you start, our Functional Movement Classes also need a base level of movement proficiency before jumping in with our crew. Our  High Intensity Interval Training…well, we are super strict on who can do these classes, they are supper tough.

Once you’ve had your initial assessment and movement screen Drew and Liz will work out a plan with you that will get you to where you need to be. As everyone has different bodies and backgrounds we don’t put a number on this, for some folks they move really well already and can go straight into our classes…where other may need to work with Drew and Liz individually to build up the movement skills to do the classes well

Bookings are a must for classes as we keep the groups small to optimise the small group training effect.

Whats it cost: It costs exactly what  its worth….if you want to eat home brand pizza from the supermarket thats ok….we don’t do homebrand, …..but if  gourmet, wood fire pizza, cooked by folks who know exactly what they are doing, and served up individually is more your style, then lets get rocking (note the analogy….Liz actually cooks amazing pizza…ask her…its fraking awesome)

 


 

 

WHAT WE TEACH – Training for life

We have three group classes to pick from: Pilates -Functional Movement – GRIT

Each class has the ability to provide you with amazing transformational change, be it allowing your joints to glide and smooth with pilates, develop a body that works with Functional movement, or really charge your metabolic engine with GRIT

Pilates: With a focus on posture, alignment, breathe and core control Pilates works from the inside out. Drew designs his Classes based on 15 years of clinical rehab experience, incorporating all the best exercises to make your power back strong, hips flexible, shoulders supple, and core stable. Many of Drew’s regulars love the fact that they no longer need to take medications for their back pain, or get uglier treatment as the classes keeps them in good stead.

 

 

How long: 50 minutes

How much: $15 per class

When: Tuesday 10 am, Wednesday 7pm

Homepage-Slider-FMCFunctional Movement Class: There are 8 fundamental movement patterns that we develop as children…and then we forget them by sitting down all day and doing all the others things that a modern lifestyle brings with it. The functional Movement Class works on restoring our Key Movement patterns, Squats, lunges, Deadlift, push, pull, press, lift and core. We incorporate Self Myofascial release techniques, ability drills, Flexibility exercises, Motor control and stability patterns, and develop functional strength in all of or movement patterns. In the class we will use kettlebels, free weights, bodyweight, in conjunction with spaces of yoga, pilates, gymnastics and martial arts drills to promote awesome movement.

How long: 50 minutes

1 class: $28 – Great to get the feel of how the FMC rolls out

4 class pack $100 – Lock in your 4 sessions to allow your body to feel the change

8 class pack $160 – Commit to Change, value your freedom of movement

When: FMC runs in 8 week blocks with Liz and Drew tailoring each session for those on the mats (Thats why we Movement Screen First). You can jump in at any time, just contact us to LOCK in your spot…they fill up fast!

When:  Blocks run with School Terms.  Next one kicks off Saturday 16th April at 8.15 am

HIIT classes are designed to take you to your training thresholds using a combination of interval training with strength, plyometrics and cardio components. You will run faster, jump higher, move quicker, and lift heavier……

 

 

How long: 30 minutes

1 class: $20 – Great to get that GRITTY taste…GRIT is tough, no doubt!…try out a session to feel the GRIT effect!

Need Liz to put the hurt down on you to take you to the next training level. Want a Functional Movement Assessment to fid out how well you move. We love private 1:1 training, in fact, we recommend all of folks start with individualised sessions so we can customise your movement practice. Even when going to our group classes its important for us to understand how you move, and what your goals are.

How Much: $65 for 30 minute session, $90 for 60 mins, $90 for initial assessment
